Nelia Retief, a celebrated artist born in vibrant Cape Town, honed her skills graduating with a Fine Arts degree from Cape Technikon in 1987. Despite her artistic talent, Nelia ventured into the financial world, becoming a broker at Old Mutual in 1988. Her path then led her to the property sector, joining Seeff Properties in 2005.

Now residing in picturesque Yzerfontein, Nelia’s diverse career journey - from fine art to finance and property - reflects her adaptability and drive. This unique blend of creative and business acumen enriches her artistic perspective, bringing a distinctive depth to her work. Oil and Acrylic Artist with at least 4 paint brushes in hand at any given time and a palette knife in the mix.  I work from small canvasses to extremely large ones.  

After years as an Entrepreneur in the district, I can now paint full time.  Roses, flowers, seascape, lemons..... I paint anything, just love it.

PAPINO (Christa Janssen) began her artistic journey as a ceramist.  She has since expanded her practice to include oil paintings, capturing her immediate surroundings in Yzerfontein in a joyful and playful style.  She loves painting the harbour view and wave-breakers.  

Her work also includes quirky Ostriches.  Her latest work also showcases the happy places to where she escapes to when she feels overwhelmed with stress - swimming in the ice-cold Atlantic sea.
